• 아스날은 5년전 공격수 로빈 반 페르시가 계약기간이 1년 남았을 당시에도 비슷한 딜레마에 빠진적이 있다. 반 페르시는 재계약을 거부했고 아스날은 결국 그해 여름2250만 파운드의 이적료를 받고 맨유로 보냈다.
• 맨유는 그들이 오랫동안 영입을 원해왔던 그리즈만의 영입을 위해 9000만 파운드의 이적료를 지불할것으로 예상되고 있으며, 이적이 성사될 경우 아틀레티코의 시메오네 감독은 곧바로 산체스의 영입을 원할것으로 보인다.
